Don't post here much but I'm a fan of Marlin lever guns and I check out every one I see price and condition-wise.
$295 wouldn't be too much for me if I wanted it but I'd surely try to negotiate--I'd try to work the price to 250 or 275 out the door--don't know if/how much sales tax & transfer would be.
I saw a 35 Rem. at a show a coupla weeks back, in similar condition, for $275--too bad for me being short on funds or it'd be sitting in my safe today.
If it's a Marlin with the bull's eyes on the stocks and not a glenfield, and you really want the 32, go for it.
