What are you going to put it on? That scope is a pretty good target scope, some guys have used it for FT. It should be ok for hunting at most ranges too if you know how to use it. It is a side wheel scope, with a turret mounted knob for parallax adjustment. You do need to do some proper set-up work to make the best of this type of scope though. A zero needs to be set(usually the near-zero/far-zero setting works well), and the number of clicks needed from that zero to set the scope for any given range from 10 to whatever yards should be recorded. The large wheel in the picture is usually marked in range increments. Line up the target in the scope, turn the wheel until the image is in proper focus, then look at the markings on the wheel to find the range. Adjust the scope accordingly using the ranging chart you have from when you set up the scope, and the crosshairs should be right where you want them. This is fine for target work, but a little slow for hunting. Thats where the mildots come in. You can set the parallax for a distance you are comfortable with, and using the same near/far zero set-up, use the dots for hold over purposes at varying ranges.
