The final shot in fired last year from my SSK 45/70 was when i took a nice 6x6 elk..it was also the shot that wrecked the 2X leupold pistol scope my barrel had worn for some time. Internal parts cam loose, scratched the lens, and made it sound like a baby rattle. :cry:
i sent it in a few weeks back for repair & today i received a brand spanking new 2X Leupold from them in the mail...wanted to let those of you that shoot heavy recoiling Contenders & Encores that they really do stand behind their stuff !!!
