Tail feathers

What is the correct way to measure a pheasants tail feathers? Do you pull it and measure from the end of the quill? Or do you do it another way? Thanks, Brad.

What I like to do is take two. Cut one in half and stick the full one inside the cut one. Then measure from end to end! :lol:
