Remember the name!!!
« on: January 17, 2006, 08:09:09 AM »
Well I CAN'T own the Bushmaster Carbon 15 Type 21S Pistol I want to get because New York State's great REPUBLICAN Governor George E. Pataki came up with a law and got it to pass that mirrors the 1994 federal assault weapons ban. He also came up with "ballistic finger printing" which means that every pistol sold in NY has to have a fired case and I think bullet sent to the New York State Troopers to keep on file!

Anyway's according to Bushmaster I can only own their Carbon Type 21 Pistol or their Carbon Type 97 Pistol because they weigh less then 50 ounces. I can't put the accessories on it either because that will make it weigh over the 50 ounce limit! As far as I know I can't build an AR-15 pistol using regular aluminum upper and lower part because they will weigh way over the limit!

 REMEMBER THE NAME because our great REPUBLICAN Governor George E. Pataki isn't running for Governor again.....he's going to run for president in 2008. This guy is no friend to gun owners. He's just about as bad as Billary and Chucky as far as gun owners should be concerned ! :(

Thanks for the warning.  I'm sure the NRA will get the word out if he runs.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Sorry my friend........looks like the only choice you have is to become an outlaw..........or you could move to a more gun friendly part of the country......but if you did that, who would straighten out the rif raf up your way?

:D Sounds like some "fool" put a lot of thought in the requirement to sent a case and fired bullet to the State Police.  That prevents me from changing the barrel on my gun doesn't it? :roll:  :wink:

Blue State Republicans (I am talking about the politicans) are not real
Republicans anyway, just people who are a little to the right of Liberal
State Democraps. If one of these Republicans in name only gets nominated (probably not), I won't vote Republican & the whole Democrap party stands for everything I am against, & I never vote for those Socialist Clowns, which leaves me voting for an independent with no chance of winning, oh well.

Heck you wouldn't even have to do that.  Scratching the barrel with a cleaning rod can change the 'fingerprint'.

Pataki is living proof of the axiom, "If you ly down with dogs, you will get fleas."  A liberal Republican is possibly worse than a Dumbycrat.  Why can't we have a realignment; I'm sure there are some Dems who believe in the Second Amendment who could be traded for some Rinos.

Let's see now;
    Are we then supposed to believe that ANY   Demoncrat they were to run against "Pataxy" would be any more kindly disposed toward gun ownership than Pataki ?
   I rather doubt that, Algore, Flip-flop Kerry or Hitlary...not exactly well known for their support of the second amendment..

   I'm not very worried about Pataxy...he won't be the standard bearer for thr Reps in 2008..I don't believe the Reps have that many liberals..

  So, as usual... the anti second amendment candidate will come from the Dems...

Ironglow, that is correct & he will not be nominated in the Republican Party anyway as he is too "Democrap-like" for Red Staters anyway.
As far as the Democraps are concerned, the basic Socialist Democrap platform at the National level is anti-gun & no matter how they talk, they will stay with the platform.

You're right Ironglow, but there are a handful of northeastern Rinos that I would gladly trade for some more conservative Dumycrats.  I'm not very enamored with John squishy McCain either.

Nomo, Magooch;
   Yes, I am neither Rep nor Dem..I'm A reg. Conservative..that way I believe I can think more analytically and objectively..
   I will always vote for the more conservative, more honest and more traditional values candidate..
   So, if it came to the unlikely match of McCain (R) vs. Joe Lieberman(D),
I would still vote for the one that carried the qualities that I value most..in this case Lieberman (D).
   But that is taking (in my opinion) the worst (R) and best (D) in opposition to each other.
  I was however, a bit startled by Joe's wobbling in 2000, on his former pro-life stance..

   Please do me a favor; don't lump all NYers as some kind of Liberal...modified or otherwise...LOL

  Rather than to view the red/blue state map...use the red/blue counties map..
        <www.electoral-vote.com/2004/images/counties-2004.gif>

   You ouight to put that map in your "favorites" column..

    If you look at the counties in NY , scan across the southern border (with Penna.)...I am ni the next to last western county..

   ...And believe me, the red counties in NY are as "red" as the red counties in Utah or Kansas...LOL

       Ironglow..

William;
   I know where you're coming from; When I started my voting "career", I was a Democrat and voted for JFK...
   Next election, I didn't care for either major candidate, so I voted for Geo Wallace..more a protest vote than anything.
  Then I grew a little older and hopefully, wiser and realized that voting 3rd party is a wasted vote...and may just help the least desireable candidate to win.
  I may have then went back to Democrat...but the Democrats brought on Geo McGovern and a string of hopeless Liberals...so I went Republican..later Conservative , so I could be more objective..

    However, I still vote for the major party candidate that fits my beliefs/values best...and give funds toward the ones I want to see elected..

I am aware of what you are talking about concerning the rural counties
being red. A political analyist once described Penn. for example as having
Philly in the East, Pittsburg in the West & Alabama in the middle.
Please note what I said in my first post. I was in reference to the politicians at the National level in these States & not the Citizens which is
a totally different thing!
