If you could only pick two chokes for an O/U. What chokes would you pick?

For sporting clays I'd go with a skeet1 and improved cyl. The average shot is 21 yards at the local course I've shot..........now, that's not to say the birds won't go farther.........but, for the most part, the range just isn't that far......

Sporting Clays courses vary a lot. Some are run by folks who actually know a thing or two about target presentation and who make the course difficult by varying presentations. Others really don't and try to make it hard by distance. I've shot on some where you were hard pressed to manage the shot on selected targets under 45 yards and it was often more.

I switch around chokes a lot on most course using cylinder bore, skeet, IC, Mod and at times even an Improved Mod just less than Full choke. Just depends on the presentation and distances.

If I were forced to chose just two I'd revolt for sure but likely go with skeet and a light modified or heavy IC. But I'd sure be an unhappy camper to not be able to switch constantly.

That's what I'm trying to avoid.... I really don't shoot that often so I was trying to simplify things...I think I have to many chokes :? - Kevin

I always use full/full for practices becasue you know you have to be dead on to hit them and when I shoot competitavely I will vary my chokes as need

If you don't shoot sporting clays very often and if your course has a trapper that goes with you, ask him/her. Around here, if you tell the trapper your new to the game or new to the course, they will usually give you tips on how to choke, which bird to shoot first and how the target will look......most will throw a few birds so you can watch them.........ask for advice......Every once in awhile, I wind up filling out a foursome and get to shoot with some of the local "experts"......they usually give great advise.......
