1892 Win. ejector

Hi,
My 92 ejects cases with such force that they just about go into orbit (don't they all!)
I'm thinking of cutting about 2 turns off the ejector spring, but I thought I might ask if anyone has done this before because I don't want to ruin it.

I would advise against it. Usually cutting a coil spring reduces the strength but also the functioning length of the spring. That's usually a bad thing. If you must alter the spring pressure the best way is to replace the existing spring with one having a softer action. Bulk spring stock is available from Brownells. Simply cut a legth from a coil of the proper diameter with a smaller wire diameter.. That way the original can be retained to return the gun to strongerejection if desired.
