Guys things are gonna change on this forum. I’m not in good health and I do not have the time or the patience to put up with the childish behavior on here any longer. So I’m NOT going to.

When you guys came to GBO you asked me to provide you a home since you were kicked out at Marlin’s NEF site. In fact I think Mac is the one who asked me to set up the forums for you. We welcomed you to GBO and offered you a home here. BUT it came with restrictions. I told you then not to bring the problems of the old site to GBO. I told you that there are rules at GBO to be followed and that no one is above the rules. I listened to your pissing and moaning and crying and bitching about how you were treated at Marlin’s site until I finally helped you thru it and the forums became a nice place to be. A place to discuss the Handi’s you guys seem to love to tinker with and shoot.

Now those petty jalousies seem to have cropped up again. Those old arguments and hatreds from the Marlin site are rearing their ugly heads once again. You were told up front I wasn’t going to accept that behavior and I am not.

I’ve dealt with situations like this before. I’ve had groups of folks who thought that they could force their will upon the many and me and all those are now history at GBO. If you think ending the memberships of 15-20 folks is a concern to me then trust me you don’t know me very well. I’ve done just that twice before. Both times those who departed thought they were in tight with me and found out that I put the best interests of the forums and the many above the few who think they have buttered me up to let them do as they please.

So if you think you’re one who is immune to what I’ve about to say you should be thinking again cuz I’m here to tell you that you are wrong.

Now to the issue as I see it. Mac and Quick are my moderators. Their job is to enforce the rules I have laid out for the site to the best of their ability and knowledge. They communicate with me regular to be sure that what they are doing is within my rules and guidelines and ask for advice when unsure. IF I don’t like what they do I let them know. So if you’ve got a beef with what they are doing you need to bring it to me not to them and not put it on open forum. If I think they are wrong or have over stepped I’ll deal with it.

If you bring it up on open forum you are sitting your self up for a down fall and a termination of your membership. I really don’t care if you like or dislike them and I don’t care if you like or dislike me. That is immaterial and beside the point. I don’t care if you agree with them or me or disagree. You’re welcome to express your viewpoint as long as you do it in a manner that is within my site rules. If you have any question regarding what those rules are they are contained in the Terms of Use Statement and I will be posting it in its entirety on this forum.

I will not tolerate folks coming here just to knock the rifles. If you have a problem and want help this is the place to get it. If you just want to bitch and moan about them and put them down then go elsewhere as no one here can help you. And since most of the folks actually like the little guns that post here they really have no interest in listening to you put them down. You’ll only be distracting the folks who want to share info and help each other and I don’t want folks here who wish to be that way.

You’re either part of the solution or you’re part of the problem. If you’re part of the problem you need to be looking for a new home as you’re about to be gone from GBO.

I’m not going to call names here because you already know who you are. So do I! No detailed count of names has been made but I’m thinking that there are at most 15-20 of you with less than half dozen key trouble makers who are egging the rest on. Without those few the others likely would fall back in line and could stay. But make no mistake if it takes the loss of 15-20 or even 50 or more order will be restored and the majority will be able to get back to what the forum was set up for. I have well over 2000 NEF users registered on this site. I think the number might be closer to 3000 and who knows how many more that aren’t registered but just are here to read. So don’t think I will let a small group of you ruin it for the rest.

I never set the site up to be the biggest or the most popular and I most certainly didn’t set it up to follow the lead of any other site as to how it is run. I was tired of sites that allowed all the things a small group is now trying to do here at GBO on this forum. I said up front when I set the site up it wasn’t going to be tolerated here and it never has been. I try to give a little to see if folks will bend to the rules and behave. But when it becomes obvious to me they won’t then I come down with an iron fist on them. That iron fist is poised in the air right now. It is about to come down hard. And soon. If we don’t lose those half dozen or so key trouble makers by the end of next week I will be greatly surprised. It will mean they have read the writing on the wall and decided they really do want to be a part of the site not because I’ve bent any longer.

And to the rest of you do not think a campaign of posts crying over lost members is going to help. In fact it will just give me the names of the next batch to go. I try to be a really nice guy on the site but I can be one hard assed fellow when pushed. Don’t push me or you’re fixing to find out just how hard assed I can be. My time of being Mr. Nice Guy here is over.

So make up your mind right now. If you want to stay you best become a part of the solution. If you aren’t then you are a part of the problem and the problem is going to go away and I mean SOON!

Mac and Tim have been directed to enforce the rules to the letter and to the spirit. You'll get no warnings and you'll get no notice if things go away. If you don't like it deal with me. I make the rules.
