Been all over the net today. It appears we are having trouble finding a decent price on either PMC or Winchester 40 gr JHP ammo. One website is stating PMC is quitting the ammo business (haven't run that down yet), a few others are pricing large amounts for appx $6.00 per box. Many are in the upper 6s and into the 7s for this stuff!

Looked at cheaper than dirt, Sportsmans guide, etc. If anyone runs across anything seriously lower than $6 per box on the above please let me know. We are looking for 7000+ round bulk purchase.

If anyone is looking for PMC .22 mag JHPs, the ONLY place I can find that has access to ANY of it is the Gun Room in Longview, Washington. He'll order it, YOU pick it up, price is well under $6.00 per box.

It appears that either PMC is going out of business, or that something else is going on regarding their ammo. Winchester .22 mag JHP are nearly as hard to find at a decent price, supposedly they are moving their ammo production facility and this ammo is not being produced for the time being.

Just FYI

(think this is bad, TRY finding reasonable prices on 7.62X39 ammo :shock: )

Did you go to the PMC website and contact them to find out what is going on?

A really nice fellow at Natchez told me they are out and don't expect to receive any more, period. He said he got that straight from PMC rep.

I haven't been to the PMC site. The Natchez guy was one of a few that mentioned PMC closing down. Local place here in Oregon that is a huge ammo retailer can't get any, either....Winchester nor PMC.

Clearly the sage rats are behind this all :-)
