advantage of a model 88 ?
« on: February 26, 2006, 04:57:50 AM »
:D Found a model 88 full choke 12 gauge...Its got the case hardened receiver....Was this the model that they use to put the combos on?(rifle barrels Low presure rounds on )Back in the mid 80s & early 90s....So would the advantage be to mount my 30-30 barrel on this frame???????I know H&R will not mount rifle barrels to these but need to know if the model 88 was used for combo packs???????And was the model 88 a topper or a pardner shot gun?????

Guess I should have read this post before adding the 2nd note to your first post.  LOL  You already know about the Combos.
This 88, is this the same one with the 44 barrel?

:D cookie: The model 88 just has a 12 gauge barrel on it...Just want to know if the 88 had the combos offered on it years back....(old combos shotgun barrels and low presure rifle barrels mounted on the 88 case hardened frame)
