A little frustrated!
« on: January 17, 2006, 07:48:01 AM »
I don’t know who to be irritated at, U.S. Postal Service or H&R Customer Service. Here is where my issue is right now. I have since my 20 ga. TDC receiver in for repair on the 7th of January 06 (transfer bar safety problem) The U.S. Postal Service delivery confirmation receipt shows it was delivered to Gardner, MA on the 12th of January 2006. What does this mean at the Post Office or H&R Customer Service? Called H&R Customer Service on Friday and a nice person could not find it. Well today called back to the nice person and still can not find the receiver. Two things to think about, next time ship UPS and think positive that the receiver will be found. Each day that goes by squirrel season gets shorter and I miss my 20 GAUGE TDC! I’m not going to stress yet!  :?

Glad to hear it worked out for you. You should send them a bill for that heart attack though. :x Let us know how she works when you get her back.

To All,

I got the receiver last night from UPS and it sounds crisper and more spring tension. I had to redo stock, too much, too fast!

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Thanks Markus,

I did get out last evening and got one squirrel, but it was with the old 20 ga. Tracker I (26" Mod. add a barrel). I kind of screwd up with the linseed oil on TDC . After stripping the stocks I added too much of it too fast. I have to restripe it and start over. This time using  Tung oil and slowing down. Here's the web site with the techique I'm using and it's looking pretty. Alot of hard work and a sore right arms, but I like it. I do have one question about how I clean the checkering. This is not the traditional checking and looks like one of them laser cut deals?
