357 Ejection Problem.
« on: January 25, 2006, 05:03:52 PM »
Hello Guys and Gals,
I read on some forum (I think here) about someone who had a problem similar to mine. If I shoot many rounds through my DW 357 (monson) revolver, They begin to stick in the chamber when trying to eject the cartridges. I believe someone said it was most likely due to machining marks still in the cylinder walls. Their solution was to (I THINK) use rouge on a dremel polishing pad and clean them up a little. Not to remove any metal, just to polish out the walls a little. Does this sound right? Just want to make sure before I try it with mine.

Thanks,
    Robb

Is there any buildup from .38's being shot in the cylinder chambers?
When I got my Dan Wesson, I had that problem until I took a .375 dia. brush through each chamber with some sweet's 7.62.

I had the same problem in mine.  Cleaned the chambers with a .40 cal bronze brush and Sweets, then some Break Free.  No more sticking cases.  Thought I would try that before polishing, and I'm glad I did.
