What cal. is the red stocked handi, and what did you do to the stock.  Is it just red paint or some secret special hand rubbed red oil?--lol

Sun glasses required

hunterwinco

Its a .223 rem bull barrel that had the plain pallet wood stocks on that i just hated .

It is act. orange . All i did was sand the top coat of clear to rough it up and sprayed 3 coats of Kyroln safety orange on it and a new clear coat .

Here is a better picture of it outside .

I like the way it looks outside , gives the top a kinda yellow tint and the bottom a red tint .

stimpy,  that looks cool.  I have been thinking of doing that with my pallet stock (22 hornet, 30-30)...maybe an olive drab or camo pattern.  It wouldn't hurt it to take my porter cable random orbit to it with some 80 grit.  The stocks are a little THICKER than they need to be!  I'd like to sand about 1/16" off the whole thing.

Im a big boy...but I bought the 30-30 for my 13 yo son to use to and it is kinda tuff for him to get his hand around the pistol grip as well as he should.  Im sitting here tonight trying to deceide which type of Williams peep sight to put on it.  Only 9 more month till deer season in maine!  I wanted to use the 30-30 as my little truck/brush gun next year.
