Ok I admit its silly....................but have any of you played a video game that you thought helped your skills in the woods..........(I am assuming no..........unless you are attached by 50 deer at once).

                                                            Thanks

I was born way before TV  (radio was the thing in my day)so you know i was to way to old when video games came  along to learn anything new.
Video games really not my thing.
More reason to stay outside and learn the old fashion way besides for me it`s more fun seeing whatever it is..... in the natural. Kind of like OJT.

My two boys (11 & 13) love the "dangerous game" hunts on the Playstation, but there's no adrenaline rush for me when trying to blast something with a fake gun.  I lost interest pretty quick, though I am a generation X'er who grew up liking the "spaceship" games.  Asteroids, Galaxia, etc...  As far as learning anything, I think there is no substitute for time in the field.

many years ago when the "3d game" craze was going full swing, they had a... well.. .novelty about them.

hunting video games......
definition:
forever of boredom followed by 60 seconds of frustration at trying to get senseless controls to put "virtual"ly useless crosshairs on a sad representation of an animal...

this coming from an avid video gamer....

I bought the "dagerous game" game at gamestop for 5 bucks in the bargain bin.... I've wasted more money before, but never on a more worthless P.O.S. game....

That's generally the case with most of them, in fact I havn't found one yet worth the materials in their packaging...
