Do you like this rifle? Is it hard to load the primer if you have a scope on the rifle?

IMHO Black Diamonds are accurate rifles in spite of a mushy trigger and a long "lock-time", as the sliding striker travels forward a long way before slamming into the cap or primer.
The quick load feature is a convenience, but this idea actually shortens barrel rifling length and therefore will have a negative effect upon velocity. For that reason, I would go with the longer barrel of the XR models.
I would also recommend the stainless steel Black Diamonds.
A big negative is a total of seven parts to juggle during cleaning plus I also always have to take the stock off when cleaning.
Also, with a scope installed, you will want to use a 1/4 inch drive socket wrench with a long extension and socket instead of the crummy TC supplied tool to remove the breech plug.
I haven't yet come up with a good method of quickly putting a cap on the nipple.
But, I have killed two deer with my .50 cal Black Diamond topped with a 3x9 scope, each at 140 yards.
So, It will shoot.

That Omega is looking good. It must be looking good to TC also, they just raised the price $40.

I shoot mine with the 209 primer and it was supplied with a little plastic tool to aid in placing the primer into the nipple of either scoped or non-scoped rifles.

I have the longest barrel they offer and have no complaints.
If you can't work em in close & git em in yo face with their orange landing gear down, don't bother takin the safety off!!!!!!!

I have a scoped Firehawk, the forerunner of the BD, and it is essentially the same rifle without the removable breech plug.  I added the 209 conversion to it, and use the plastic 209 holder to prime the rifle.  Works ok; priming is not a problem.

If anyone's still reading this thread, I'm here to say I love my Black Diamond (regular length, stainless).  I have no problem using 209's with a scope (Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40) on the rifle.  I use TC's clear plastic 209 capper that holds 10 caps (not the little fork that comes with the rifle): put the cap on the nipple, pull the capper away, and fully seat the cap with my finger.  Happens faster than I can type it.

OBTW, the scope is mounted using Leupold Quick Release bases and mounts.  I can take the scope off for cleaning, and it has never needed re-zeroing after I put it back on.
