Rules for NRA Pistol Silhouette?
« on: January 21, 2006, 06:47:44 PM »
I've been shooting the smallbore and cowboy lever action NRA silhouette matches for about a year and a half now. After seeing a few other guys shooting their Contenders at our smallbore and pistol cartridge lever gun matches, I've decided I want to try it. I have a standard factory Contender in 22lr with the 10" barrel and want to set it up to shoot the match. I can't find the rules pamphlet anywhere online, though, and want to make sure I am doing everything by the book (weight, lengths, etc.). Any help out there?

If you are interested in NRA silhouette, you can start at http://www.nrahq.org/compete/silhouette.asp.  It gives general guidelines & a phone #.

If you are interested in IHMSA silhouette, you can go to http://www.ihmsa.org.  The 2005 rulebook is there plus the 2006 match schedule.  The match schedule will give you contact information for ranges nearest you.

Best of luck & welcome to the game.
