Hello List: Where would be the best place on the web to begin my search for
a rim fire Low Wall action. I would like to build a 22 rf target gun from scratch.
Thank you in advance for any advice......jim

I know it's not from scratch, so it doesn't really answer your exact question, but Taylor's Firearms has an Uberti 1885 Low Wall in .22LR on their website with descent looking target set-up.
You only take one shot at a time, so don't waste it :cb2:

I spent the last 3 months looking for a low wall action for a project and they were tough to find. Original low walls really bring a lot of money. What I found mostly that I could use were entire guns that had bad bores or other problems, but even these were really expensive. I found some on Gunbroker and Gunsamerica and there is a classified section on http://www.assra.com/ that you can find actions sometimes. I eventually gave up (when I saw an original low wall with totally rusted bore, cracked forend and buttstock, no tang screw, smashed sights and the whole thing had been re-blued at one time and it got bid up to $577 and still didn't meet reserve) and bought a brand new Uberti Low Wall that I will re-stock and rebarrel if I don't like it as is. I have a Uberti High Wall that is a very nice gun also. Good Luck in your search.
