I read this on another forum, in concept it seems OK, and since handi's should not be dry fired I though I'd post it here for discussion. In a nutshell the fella would glue a piece of eraser in a primer pocket and use that as a snap cap. does that seem reasonable to you?

aulrich i have heird of putting silicon in the primer pocket, so the eraser is just an other way to do it.

Done it myself for my Huntsman. Put it in the primer carrier and it works. You will have to trim down the diameter though. I'm not saying it is the best alternative but it is easy and cheap. I also have the .25 ACP plug for my Huntsman and have taken a auto vacuum line end cap and cut it to length. You might be able to find another piece of rubber the right diameter.

I haven't had a problem, YET! :wink:

I was thinking aquaseal (wader repair glue) could work too a little tougher than silicon. I think the comercial ones would be better but I have not seen one for 204 yet.

It states in the Owner's Manual under Loading and Firing...

NOTICE: This firearm should never be dry fired, as damage could occur to the barrel and/or the firing pin.

The barrel damage would occur on rimfires, I also suspect the transfer bar could be broken by dry firing.

The aquaseal is looking good so far, As long as it sticks to the pimer pocket. Bladerunner I have to keep purchases down right now, I have got a 10/22T on layaway so wvery penny counts right now. :-D But I have saved the link
