I'd like to try carrying my 5.5" .41 mag Redhawk while deer & possibly elk hunting and want a crossdraw holster to keep it out of the way. I found Hunter 2200 series holsters on the net. Are there any other crossdraw holsters anyone would recommend?

I do not know if they make them for a redhawk, but I assume they do. The Galco dual position phoenix, and the Bianchi Cyclone 111(?) both can be used as a crossdraw, and a strong side holster.

I have a 44 mag 5 1/2" Redhawk that I wanted the same thing for. I finally found a Desantis Dual-Angle Hunter that was perfect. I contacted the company and they don't carry them but will make one custom for $125.00. I said no! I was about to give up when I found one for sale on e-bay and paid $35.00 for it. I would try there for awhile first before you buy anything expensive or custom.

Hey there Redhawk shooters,

I have a Bianchi of some type which is a great cross draw for my 5 1/2" Hawk.

It was used/with the gun when I got it and had been modified some after which I did a bit more and beefed it up.

However, You might want to get in touch with Simply Rugged an see what they can do for you. CHECK OUT E-BAY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM OR CHECK OUT THE NET.

It is a small one man operation in Alaska - the price will be right for a simple - no nonsense unit.

The Cyclone 111 is for a 7.5" RedHawk. I have a 5.5" RedHawk that fits into a Bianchi 5BNL DW .44 like it was made for it. I think the holster is for a Dan Wesson. It is a little forward canted on the strong side, but I have used it as a cross draw when hunting. All pistols have Bianchi holsters.

I just take my normal holster, and put it on the left side, handle facing right, and there is enough room with the belt i use to tip it towards the right side, works for cross draw, normal holster. Plus I don't like anything that goes around shoulders, just a preference I guess, and I haven't hunted with anything scoped (yet) So I guess my preference will have to change.....

I have 2 of his cowboy rigs and just recieved 3 1911 holsters and belts for my Colt Delta Elite.
