Gunsmith needed in Dallas/Fort Worth Area for Re-Bluing
« on: February 02, 2006, 05:13:06 AM »
Does any know or have experience with any of the DFW gunsmiths with regards to re-bluing.  I spoke to one shop, but they wanted $150 to re-blue just the receiver of my Rem. 1100.  No way, I mean completely disassembled, they wanted $150 to strip it, buff it, and dip it.

There are a few i can mention but have never had any bluing done by them.

Blueing Brothers
(972) 289-0659
410 Old London Ln
Mesquite, TX

D-Ray's Sporting Goods
(972) 388-3006
730 Singleton Blvd
Dallas, TX

These are the two I would work with......I abhor McClellands.  Been lied to one too many times.  They are always blowing smoke up peoples butts.

Good luck,
Kyle

some of the 1100's have an alloy reciever, be careful who you send it to. It may get melted into the salts !
