I sent some cast bullets to the Tech school with a friend of mine and got some confusing results. The bullets that were cast with 9 lbs wheel weights and 1 lb 50/50 were softer than the ones with 55% wheel weights, 35% pure lead and 10% 50/50. The lead made them harder?
Hard to believe! Anybody got this alloy thingy figured out? As an aside, I also sent some that had been heat treated and the w/w-50/50 ones got harder by slightly over 100% while the ones with the lead in increased by roughly 33%. Does any of this make sense? Thanks, J Winks
