SPRINGFIELD XD 45 ACP

I fondled one yesterday at a local gun shop. Who has one and how do you like it. Im seriously thinking about buying one and selling my RUGER.
Any likes or dislikes about this particular weapon?

I love my XD-45's, have one in the Service and one in the Tactical model.  Only thing I don't like is that mine won't feed SWC's. Other than that it's an awesome pistol. Smooth action, nice trigger, and more accurate than I am. All that in a 13+1 capacity, what more can you ask for.

Also have a KP345,  it's nicer to care than the XD and eats anything I feed it.  I don't really like the size of the loaded indicator on the Ruger, it's much smaller on the XD.  Also hate the magazine disconnect on the Ruger, took care of that the first day before even shooting it.

As far as accuracy,  both are far better shooters than I am.  Both are very accurate, only thing I shoot are cast bullets.  Mainly 230 LRN over 4 grains of Red Dot.

Hope that helps, I think you'd be very happy with an XD.  

I will have another XD in 9mm soon as I sell a couple revolvers.

How did you get a Tactical XD-45 already?
I've read, primarily on xdtalk.com, that they will be released sometime this year.   I've only seen one photo of one, and that was from the Shot Show last week.  Springfield doesn't even list the 5" .45 yet on their site.
The .45 service (4") models are just now trickling into stores.
Do you work for Springfield?
I've been tracking it 'cause I want one... Love my XD-40 Tactical, sure would be happy to sell a few things to get me an XD in .45.

I have the Springfield 45 ACP.  Thats a great gun. I take it to the range and shoot bowling pins at 20 yds shooting 230 gr RN bullets at 900 fps. :D

The XD-45 ACP, 5" Tactical has been available from the warehouses  I buy from for about a week now.  Davidson's and JSC Inc. both have them in stock.  If you can find a dealer that buys from either of these distrubutors you should be good to go.   Davidson's may have sold out already, but JSC Inc. still have them in stock last time I looked.

They are available though and the Tactical is one heck of a shooter.   That thing will out shoot  the Colt Gold Cup Series 70, which I no longer own.

Better find one quick, they're not staying on shelves long.

I sent out the $$ and FFL yesterday for my SPRINGFIELD XD 45 ACP. Cant wait to get it to the range!

.45 5"....Mmmmmm, sweet.
Have a look at xdtalk.com to see what loads, accessories, etc. people are using.
An excellent XD board, well moderated and filled with great info.
