Cosmoline Removal
« on: February 14, 2006, 02:43:11 PM »
Hello Everyone.  I recently purchased a Yugo SKS that is still in cosmoline and plastic wrap.  I would like to fire it (unless anyone thinks that it's a collectable...Doubtful, since there are millions of these things, and I only paid 100 bucks for it).  The quesion is how to best remove the cosmoline grease from the action and bore?  One guy I talked to took his to the coin operated car wash, but I'm not sure that would go over well with the neighbors.  Any help is appreciated.  I look forward to shooting this rifle!
