New Barrel.

I got to try out my new barrel yesterday. It is a TC 7mag. I did use a Bellam 1x pin. I only shot a box of Remington 140gr WalMart specials but was pleased with the initial performance. After getting it sighted in I was able to get  keep the groups at about 1"-1.5". The factory loads were a little over 3100fps.

This was my first experience with the 7mm Mag. The recoil wasn't bad. Certainly less than the Marlin 1895 I was shooting (350gr@2000fps). Though I was also shooting a Ruger #1a in 7x57 and it felt like a 243 after the 7 mag.

I have brass and bullets on order can't wait to see how much better it can get.

Well unless T/C is telling a tall tail the Encores don't have pins that are to small. I talked to a tech at T/C about it and he said that it wouldn't be the pin causing the problem but the frame being to wide. I know alot of encore shooters believe this about the pins but this is what T/C told me. I have order a new barrel from bullberry and I was asking them about the the oversized pins and they didn't put much faith in them either.
