Vance, I had the same gun years ago (wish I had it back  ) and when I got it, the bore was rough as a cob. It still shot reasonably well with JHP stuff, but tore the cast bullets up pretty bad for awhile. Then after about 3000 jacketed slugs, it smoothed out, and shot everything well. Being young and stupid, I thought all guns could shoot 3/4" at 25 yards, as long as you could hold it well enough. Boy, was I naive!
For awhile, I experimented with seating cast bullets farther out, given the length of the Redhawk's cylinder. I shot bullets up to 295 grains, and while the accuracy wasn't noticeably better, it wasn't much worse either. I think my favorite powder was 2400, but I also got good results with 800-X, a powder most folks never try. It's a flake powder, but very bulky and gives good load density in magnum pistol rounds. I'm thinking of trying some in my Marlin 44 Mag!
I know it's tempting to try to find one load that all your 41's like, but it can take years, or it may not be possible. Just accept that some guns are finicky, and feed each accordingly. Enjoy those 41's, I sure wish I had mine back!
