9.3x74R ?
« on: April 01, 2006, 01:42:14 PM »
I love all the German 9.3 cartridges but especially the 9.3x74R.  Has anyone here had their Handi barrel bored out and chambered for this cartridge?  What barrel did you start with, who did the work, and how much did it cost?  THANKS!

Don't think so, not yet anyway!! But I've done a .338-06 A-square from a .25-06 and .405 Winchester from a .38-55 Target, Wayne York of Oregunsmithing did the work, he charges about $300 for a rebore/rechamber. He's done work for several members here. He just did a .35 Remington rechamber from .357Mag for me, too.

A 9.3x74R has a .366 bore. I used these shells in creating a brass case for a 410 to a Brass shell and bullet like a slug.

Thank you very much Tim, I'll give Wayne an email to see if this is doable.
