owner of new crossman 1377 with question:
« on: February 03, 2006, 01:25:37 PM »
Just got my 1377 pistol in mail from compasseco today.
After pumping it and dry firing a few times I notice that it is no longer as difficult to pump.   I mean real easy. perhaps half as much effort as the first few times.  I'm wondering if something has gone bad? Like maybe blew a seal?  Have you other 1377 owners noticed a big decrease in resistance after fist few shots?  If it's a lemon, I'll just have to send it back.

maybe the pump cup?

I have read on the Crosman airgun forum that some of the new ones have their pump cups seperating from the pump arm linkage. I have a 2100 rifle so this hasn't happened to me. But it definately shouldn't become so easy after a few dry fires/shots. I still suspect that it is the pump cup problem. Send it back or start reading up and tinkering  :) .
