Hey all,

Does anyone On here Fish the Ohio river ?  I've been fishing it for about the past  6 years Now for Flatheads and channels.
Have the best Luck with a Carolina slip rig using 4 to 3oz Egg sinkers.  With a 6/0 to 9/0 Wide gap Or Kahle Hook. 30lb to 40lb Stren Line.  With Blue gill about the size of your hand Or a little Bigger ..
So far the Biggest  Flat head has been About 35lb  &  Channel  21lb ...      Mostly fish between Hannable  and Willow Island Locks and dams.   Fished a Little down in the Marietta Pool.
   How about you Guys ??????

I have fished the Ohio from Coolville to Racine Ohio for along time caught a few nice cats the biggest a shovelhead around 30 lbs. had hold of some that I'd be afraid to even guess at how big they were. We fish mostly from the bank. In May we take the boat and hit the rocky banks on the Wv side when they move up on the rocks to spawn
