What kind of caps do you use?

Just as a topic of discussion, what kind of percussion caps do you use? It is a slow night on the forum and I thought I'd start a new topic. I've used Remington and CCI's [both standard and Mags] and RWS 1075's. I have never had a problem with any of them, but finally setteled on the RWS's I also shot musket caps for a while but never found them to make that much of a difference to justify the extra cost.........Jim

It seems like I've tried them all at one time or another...but I've cut over to Remington's on everything I shoot.  They just seem to go off every time and do their job.

My two cents...

gotta aggree with that,,CCI Mag as back-up.

Just some advise,,don't mess around with cheap stuff when it comes to ignition. When that "chance" comes, your gonna need a good cap and a clean nipp! it's too easy too ignore.
i'm a realist. i've not seen it all, but man ,,I've Been Around the block once or twice

Chris,
This was just a topic for discussion. I had pretty much settled on RWS's along time ago. Things were slow here and just wanted to give the guys some thing to post to. I've only been here a few months but I really like Gray beard's forum. I'm a member on a few other forums but it seems that they always get into heated debates over trivial subjects and loose sight of the purpose of these forums, to share knowledge and help others.
I have met a bunch of stand up guys here at Gray Beard's and I hope to be a member for years to come.  Thanks alot,  Jim
