old traps
« on: February 06, 2006, 04:30:59 AM »
I have came across some old traps and wondered what a fair price would be for them.

10 mont 1.75's
10 victor 1.75's
10 victor 1.5's

These traps were used in the 80's but were taken care of.  They are rusted of course but not deep pitted rust.  The base/jaws etc are solid.

I will have to replace springs on all and will replace chain's as well.

Whats a fair price??
Thanks
Tim B

Tim, take a good look at those Montgomeries--they only made a # 1 1/2 and #2--no #1 3/4.

Your right Bog--sorry---
What I thought were 1.75 monts are actually northwoods.  The square jaws threw me off.
All the traps are coilsprings too...any idea of their worth?
Thanks Tim B

ok--no one wants to guess their worth--and I know thats a hard question to answer without seeing them etc, but, let me ask this....will the northwoods 1.75 make a good yote trap after I baseplate, and put music springs on them....or should I save them for my coon/mink drounders?
Thanks
