Redesigned Toyota Tundra
« on: February 10, 2006, 04:24:34 AM »
Toyota says this is, " a big, bad mother of a truck." Bigger, beefier and far more powerful than the current Tundra plus it`s going to be built in a new plant in San Antonio, Texas. Foreign owned, Built in America, how about that? The current Tundras are built in Indiana.
They offer several engine sizes with the 5.7 liter V-8 with 325 HP as the big boy. The new Tundra can tow 10.000 pounds with the six speed tranny.
Prices have not been announced but they will be higher than the curent
  comparable models.
Seems like the domestic truck makers are in trouble and here is Toyota
not only  steping up it`s truck offering but in a new plant in Texas which
is the "top truck-buying state" in the country.... per the newspaper.
Does that old adage," if you build a better truck they will come" apply
  here ?
   What`s your take on this?
" The best part of the hunt is not the harvest but in the experience."
