I'm choosing a bipod for my setup.
Cant seems like something to avoid, and I'll only be using a bipod on a bench, so I think a swivel should be avoided.
Cabela's has the B-Squared for $35.
All the Harris start at $80.
Anyone have thoughts on this??
Yea or nay on the swivel?

I am trying to decide on one for the same rifle. I looked at the harris also but dont want to spend the 80 bucks. Thats the only thing I can find here at the Gun Shops. Hope somone has an Idea.

I would avoid a swivel bipod, I have about 5 and 2 are swivels. Harris seems to work the best other than a pinched finger (watch those springs) when I had the bipod off the gun and tried to close it! You can order the harris out of shotgun news for around 60 dollars, just check the adds. The Swivels are difficult to hold steady even your breathing makes them wobble. I think my swivel is a cadwell, there are some made in china that are cheep and cheep. Always had good steady shooting with Harris.

Yeap. I got one of those too. Works well for what I use it for. And it was like $40 or something. Killed many a little hogs with it.

I've got one of the Shooter Ridge clones of the Harris and a couple Harris bipods, the Shooter Ridge is identical for all practical intents and purposes, works just as good, cost a lot less. I also have a swivel Harris, if you're shooting on any surface other than perfectly level as on a bench, the swivel is the way to go unless you want to deal with cant which isn't fun trying to level the non-swivel bipods.

I have just got my .204 UVF and wanted to try a bipod. I borrowed one from a friend and tried it this weekend on a bench and it worked great. It was the Wal-mart model that sells for $39.99 or so. It tightened up and was very sturdy and not too heavy. I think it is a 9-13".
