I'm about to get a NEF, but before I do...
« on: February 13, 2006, 03:40:54 PM »
I wanted to get some opinions. I've been reading through all the posts and there is a ton of info here!

Here's my deal. I'm looking to get the .223 with a heavy 22" barrel. I went with the .223 simply because it's cheaper to shoot, and would basically fill my needs. I originally wanted the 22-250 since it's a screamer round, but ammo costs wouldn't make it as enjoyable as the .223 I don't think.

I'm planning on adjusting the trigger as discussed in tha Q&A section, if it's needed, and want to restock it.

I found some info on Gunstocks Inc. but coulnd't find a link to the site. Any info there would be appreciated as well.

What ammo have y'all found to be most accurate in theses rifles? I know, every gun has it's preference, I'm just wanting a starting point.

Also, at what ranges do you shoot your .223's? I'm planning on using mine for coyote's and just long range plinking.

I plan on topping it with a Tasco 5x20x50 that I already have. It's not the best scope, I know, but good enough for now.

Thanks in Advance for any tips and suggestions.
