One in a Million chance.....

Mounted a 6x Bushnell scope on my T/C Contender .22 LR Match Carbine barrel today, then took it out to line the scope up. The scope was dead on at 50 yards without ANY adjustment to the scope at all...Ive never seen or even HEARD of this happening in my years of shooting before. I wouldnt even care to think what the odds of this happening would be...just thought Id share this and see if this has ever happened to anyone else. The scope had not been bore sighted either, just put it on and tightened everything down and Ill be damned....it was dead on.

Only once!I always set my gun up on bags and open the action on my Encore when I mount a new scope, then I site through the barrel at something about 100 yards away, line it up in the center of the bore and then adjust my scope to that object.Usually gets me on paper but once it was right on the money.

I once had a 4x scope and a Bsquare mount on a ruger , I knew the mount had come loose so I took it all apart and remounted it . The first shot went deadcenter ,it suprised the hell out of me. I ended up removing the mount it would never stay tight due to the way the front clamps to the barrel . I ended up drilling and tapping the top strap and putting on a decent mount .

Both my brother and myself were able to move the scope from one contender barrel to another with only minor elevation changes required. Mine were a 223 and 35 rem barrel his I believe was also a 223 barrel and a 30-30 barrel. It didn't seem to matter how many times we swapped the scope it was always dead on. windage and less than an inch off in elevation. Close enough for most purposes.
Just another worthless opinion!!
