Tom my neighbor Tim Wilson got a call from a local landowner on Wednesday, one who Tim already has permission to trap on, and he told Tim about a guy who had a beaver problom. Well anyways I wasn't planning on going, but Thursday morning we had no school and he called me around 10:00 a.m. and asked me if I wanted to go. I said sure and grabbed my 330s and off we went. Well we had no school, because of ice and now the pond is completely froze. We took two beavers out of their today (Both his 330s) and they were just 330s set over holes. We know theres a lot more beaver in there and I was wondoring if there was any way to set a castor mound set with the pond frozen. We are not charging anything for the job, the landowner just said, if we get the beaver out we can trap all his land next season. We did put out one castor mound set the day we set it, but the pond wasn't frozen then. We are going to check traps tomorrow, and pull them on Monday. Is there any other set I can make tomorrow to snag me some more beaver? We have all there holes covered with 330s and all there active channals by the way. We have 12 330s on that pond. Ones frozen in though (the castor mound set) but anyways got any ideas?
