Hello folks,
Well, I hardly ever post on a site, so hope I don't violate your protacol here.  Wish I knew how to use the "emotion" symbols, they are neat!
I've hesitated to ask this in the past, for the "can of worms" it might generate.  I'm 61 and  have a strange health issue that has forced me to stop working.  Thus have lots of spare time, and would like to hunt dogs again.
Am originally from western Ks., and used to pursue with a passion.  Really haven't hunted much at all for the past several years, but would sure like to get back to doggin".
So, would like to strike up some correspondence with similar minded folks.  Since I'm so dumb as to how these sites work, if you would like to reply, my e-mail is:  L944@sbcglobal.net, and phone is (316)522-8405.
Hope you all have had a pleasant week-end.  Hope to hear from you.

Best regards,

It is good to see you posting here badshotlal, there are a bunch of good guys  on here and very helpful as well. I am glad to hear you are getting the itch to squeeze the trigger some dogs again. That is fantastic. And hey, dont you worry about breaking a protocol, we are just a bunch of guys that love the sport of hunting and shooting and love to talk about it. So jump on in, the waters fine :D  I look forward to reading your upcoming posts and replys.

Regards,

Lee

:D Hi everyone, :D
Kinda learning how to reply -- hope this goes to everyone who answered my post.  Thanks so much.  Guess I can't respond individually unless I have your private e-mail?
Talked to Joe in N.M. on the phone, but to the feller in Co., who asked "my dog of choice", and how far mama would let me drive to shoot.   Well, "dog of choice" is that pasture ruining rodent that has spawned an industry, and Co. would be in my long-distance range, I reckon
Again, thanks to you all for the replies.  Have yet to find someone local to shoot with.  Wouldn't think I'm the only old rifleman looking to find a partner.

Best regards, :toast:

First, welcome to GBO.  Graybeard is another righteously fine, good ole' boy from Alabama.

I got transplanted from Alabama up to north central Missouri a while back and have also been looking for a doggin' partner.  I've got the hardware and the hankerin'.

Well, bugger me... bad, looking at your ph number, you live the haysville area, right? I JUST moved from downtown Wichita at the beginning of the year. For all the years I lived there, I never did find a local hunting buddy. Now, I'm in East-Central MO getting ready for some serious yote hunting.

Skeezix,

if you ever get down round Farmington, let me know. I've got plenty of land to hunt and about a hundred acres of "virgin" yote land. Just waiting to afford that blasted electronic caller.
