Hello all. I have a couple of questions regarding the H&R target rifle. I handled this gun yesterday at the shop and it fit like a glove. I am looking into getting my first real big game rifle, and I like the traditional look of the target rifle as opposed to more modern bolt guns. So, can the target rifle be used for hunting? Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about this caliber. What size game animals can such a caliber take? What is the maximum effective range? What is recoil like(compared to 12 gauge, 3 inch heavy duck loads)?. Is this a fairly accurate gun? Sorry for all of the questions, but as I said before, I don't know anything about this gun.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
