I just purchased a new NEF .223 about a month ago and love using it. I have had a Remington 788 for an eternity in 22-250 and have enjoyed using it, but wanted something a little cheaper to shoot. You can buy .223 shells for a song and dance now. I have been reloading the 22-250 for about 15 years and know what it likes and dislikes. I am a Superintendent of a small school in the Texas panhandle, so I don't have a lot of time to spend working up good loads for this rifle. If anyone knows of some good loads that work well with NEF rifles. I know that each one will work different with each rifle, but maybe an idea of what to start with. I usually use Winchester brass, Dogtown bullets from midway, and IMR 3031 or Winchester powder. Being in the Texas Panhandle we have thousands of dogs up here that are digging up pastures like there is no end. A lot of the farmers don't like to poision, so they are really nice to let me bang away at their problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope this message isn't a repeat.
