Ridiculous Looking Tracker II
« on: January 27, 2006, 07:49:23 AM »
Allright, I saw the ATI stocks on the net..and I got one realllly cheap...I couldn't resist.
It's currently sitting on my tracker II 20 gauge slug, and while it looks absolutely ridiculous on a single shot break open gun, I must say that it actually shoulders extremely well and fits me very well, since I'm of smaller than normal stature due to the collapsing stock.
Hasn't broken yet, but if it does ever, I'm not out too much.
The only minus to me is the increased recoil, since the stock is INCREDIBLY light, which makes it nice to tote around the field but not so fun to shoot.
So far, thumbs up to this once I get over the fact that it looks like a mall ninja's skeet gun.

Today I heard from ATI that they have re-engineered the product to make it stronger.

The one one I bought a while back broke after only three shots; the plastic around the barrel lug on the forend cracked in two places.  When contacted, ATI acknowledged the problem and said they will gladly replace it for me.  The new version should be avcailable in about two weeks, I was told.

So these stocks had strength issues?

Guess I should re-think my plan of one for 10 gauge turkey gun :-D

... For at least two weeks

Since it's going to be another two weeks or so beforee the new version is out, postponing your purchase for that long might not be a bad idea.
