I have been watching and Barnes says they will be out in Feb. '06, but Cabelas still has them on "back order". Did not go back and check if you could buy them direct from Barnes yet. I thinks this will be a great bullet. I love the MZ's and I think this the new tipped MZ will load easier in the Encore. Maybe we will see some result posts soon.

I have bought most of my Barnes product directly from there web site. I think I will try to make an order tonight. It may be a few weeks before the weather is nice enough to give them a go. If they open at the lower speed as advertised I think they will be a great ml bullet. I have had good results with most of there products in my Encore.

Ya know, I'm just looking for an excuse to try these new bullets...  I'm just not coming up with one.  I mean really, what are they going to do for me at 150 yrds or less that my 300 gr Expanders don't already do?  I'm not convinced that the BC gained by the "semi-spitzer" style point is going to gain me much over that gaping meplat on the Expander.  

The 300gr Expanders shoot sub 2" all day long.  If I really work at it, I can get to an inch.  Interestingly, the article in Shooting Times showed tighter groups with the Expander and the Spitfire as compared to the TMZ (the test rifle was an Omega).  

It's not like me, but I think I'm actually not going to jump on this one.  The enemy of good is great!

You make a good point. I realy do not think they will do any beter than the 275 xpb or the 300 mz. I too am very pleased with 3 of my loads, but it is so much fun just tinkering around. I will give them a go as soon as the weather gets nice enough that I can enjoy the best part of the day just shooting.
