I'm almost ready.  I find out what hunt I drew on March 1st.  I am also going to treat myself to a new turkey vest this year.  Other than that and some scouting when I find out what hunt I'm ready.

I'm almost guaranteed my first choice, there where 30,000 left over last year.  Why we still have a lottery is beyond me.  I saw a flock of turkeys last year during the late antlerless season that numbered over 100 and then another flock that went over 50 the same day.  With the mild winter we had this year the turkeys should be everywhere.

No permits here either, two gobbler season limit, May 1-30.
I've been driving the dogs nuts practicing on the slates! :-D

I just picked up a vest off ebay so I'm one step closer to ready!   I just discovered my Primos Diamond Yelper is ripped so that has to be replaced.  We've shot 6 turkeys in three years using that call and I refuse to be without one.
