Yes, SB2-762...but be warned, it doesn't like most milsurp ammo due to the hard primers....if that's your intent.

My Handi 7.62x39 dosent just 'NOT LIKE' milsurp....it just plain and simple WILL NOT FIRE with any milsurp I have tried or Wolf ammo.  That being said....I absolutely LOVE mine.  It does exactly what I intended it to do.  I can shoot SUPER FAST reloads with 100-125 gr bullets useing either .308 OR .310 bullets, or....... I can load it with BIG 200 gr Hornady Roundnose or my own cast bullets with super light loads that are quieter than my 22rf.  I bought a second frame just so I can keep my 7.62 always ready to go.
Cynrays, if you already have a receiver, you just need to send it in to NEF and they will fit a barrel for you.  They are excellent.  If you do not re-load, there is commercial ammo available that will fire nicely in it.

That's another question for Bluebayou, we're still waiting on the order number and UPCs for the 17hmr and 17M2, the SB2-762 will be added to the list in th FAQ when he provides the numbers for us. I'm guessing it's in the normal stock catalog which he'll have to look up for us. Your local should be able to find it too and it's actually in stock at Sports South, too!!

Someone posted that the CZ would not shoot the Wolf Ammo either. They called CZ and they sent them a stronger firing pin. Then it was ok...

The problem with that strategy is H&R warns shooters not to shoot milsurp in their firearms, so I don't think that's gonna work. Wolff makes a double coil hammer spring for the Handi, but no one has tried it yet. My first thought is it's going to break the transfer bar, they break often enough without abusing it. Anyone want be a guinea pig????

The 7.62x39mm Handi I have is "ONLY" behind my Handi 223 as far as accuracy.  That surprised me, because all I have done to it is clean it right out of the box.

SB2-762 is not available to WalMart as of today.  I called Sports South from the store and they say that it is not on our list.  Sorry.  Buy another need to have rifle and send the frame in.

Not surprisingly, I called Sports South this AM and he told me Walmart could order it. He gave me the UFPC Code and said that was all they needed. But BlueBayou is correct, WalMart cannot/will not order it because it is not on the list that corporate sends them. The local Sporting Goods Manager got a printout of everything they can order, about 50 single spaced printed pages, and it is not on there. So we're at Ground Zero until they do add it to their lists. A lady at Sports South said their new list would come out in April. It will be "Out of Stock" by then, of course, like the other one I want, the .45-70.

If Walmart is too slow to update their order lists for you-just sweet talk your local FFL into setting up an account with Sports South if he/she hasn't already, then order through him/her.

My local guy will ordered anything I want for a respectable cut for himself.

I have any firearm I special order in 2-3 days so long as he can find it, unlike my last venture at Walmart that took 2+ weeks.

I disagree.  The last I heard is that this barrel is offered as an accesory barrel only and it IS NOT OFFERED AS A COMPLETE FIREARM from NEF.  I have not heard anything different  since then.  To the best of my knowledge, to get one, you must send a frame to NEF to have it fitted for the barrel.

Robert, there are several shooters here that have bought the SB2-762 as a complete rifle, Grampa Mike is one that I can remember for sure. Sports South even shows it in stock!!! It's near the bottom of the page. It's also listed in the 2006 H&R/NEF catalog.

That would be nice. A friend gave me 700 rounds of Burp Gun  ammo (PPSH 50) and I don't have anything to shoot it in.
