Joe-- why not try a German Shorthair Pointer Rescue.org  They often have young dogs that are in need of a good home. Just a thought. Good Luck!! :)

Joe-- Not at all-- I just do not get by that much-- need to do something about that. There is one in Southern Calif-- Not that far from you. Go to gsp-rescue.org   I believe. I have one of their calenders. Keep us posted.   Here is Mollie a few years back (after hunting was over)  She turned 14 the end of June. :)

Tusker, Wow,What a dog she brought you a bud at the end of the hunt. Now that is the kind of dog i would like to have. I have had Brittanys since 1968 and had good luck with them in the South west, We mostly hunt Quail, Dove and once in a while do a pheasnt hunt. My little Brit. is breaking down in the hips and it seems to bother her quite a bit. It seems to be her right hip, And when she first gets up some times she will yelp and when this happens it just tears me to peices. I know i will have to replace her and would like to get a pup to work with her. She is absolutly the best minding dog i ever had. Here i go again, Some one asks me what time it is and i tell them how to build a swiss watch, Sorry for the rambling along, Thanks for the reply. OH by the way you better keep a watchful eye on Mollie so some one don't steal her, A bud retriver is hard to come by. Thanks for the reply Tusker..........Joe..........

Joe-- when it is about the pups or Simths, just ramble on-- anytime. :)
Here is Ginger-- she will be 11 in a few days. This pup will fetch ANYTHING she thinks I want.

Not to be outdone, this is Katie. She will be 10 in a few days. Katie will even fetch the clay birds I miss   and they arrive unbroken.  :-D

Joe, I know it is a little bit away from where you are, but I live up in Idaho, and will have a litter of German Shorthair pups to be whelped right aroung the first of August.  My male is solid liver colored, and my female is ticked and liver.  With her first batch of pups I ended up with 3 solid liver, 2 ticked and one white with patches.  Both parents are from Dixieland's Rusty lines.  Other ancestors include Kachina's Mister Lucky, Edlou's Supersonic, Edlous We-Be-Jamn, Ammertals Rinestone Cowboy, etc.  I hunt them for Chuckar, hungarian partridge, sage grouse and a pheasant now and then.  Let me know if you might be interested.  Travis
