Gunshow today
« on: March 04, 2006, 09:27:49 AM »
The gunshow today big letdown. Had been looking forward to it for a month. No AA#5, no Black powder and pyrodex doesn't work in the flinter. The bullets I can get cheaper from advertisers here so I guess I will quit wasting gas going to the shows cause the prices were no better than the local shops. Knives plenty of nothing special and cheaper than dirt beat most of them on prices.

They don't have to outlaw guns just make it hard to buy and sell like Illinois with their FOID card. Did find some percussion caps and bought some Reloader 15 for the .308. Wish they would have had the bullets I was looking for. I wanted some bulk winnys for plinking targets in 150gr.
 :(

You missed out on a great price on good bullets for cheap!! I posted a link when they were on sale and still had some, less than 10 cents each is about as good as it gets!!

You guys need one like we have just about every month , on average we have 250 to 300 tables set up and can find anything your little heart desires .

Everything from flint locks to class 3 full auto . and that does not even count the 500 to 750 guys walking around trading their own stuff .

I even found a hammer for my old Parker double 12 ga. for $5.oo and it matches the one on the other side .

I haven't been to this show for a looong time, but it sounds like maybe I should!!! The parking and entry costs are why I quit going, tho.....I think this one is held every few months...

I know how ya feel, Daniel.  I wasnt in the market for anything when I went to the show, up here, a couple weeks ago.  I was kinda dissappointed, though.  Just didn't have much in the way of the mid-range price and I just don't have the $$$ to get into the antique stuff.  Well, maybe the next one will be better...end of March at the Mn. State Fair grounds.

Tim, are you talking about the Vancouver, Puyallup or RCGC/Expo show?

Hey all

I went to the National gun day show last weekend in Louisville Ky.and I was very disappointed (5.00 to park 10.00 to get in 3.00 for a small coke)and not the first Handi to look at   Oh yea did I mention I stood in line for an hour to get in. I don't mean to complain, so I will just say I will look for smaller shows to attend

Guys have a good weekend  :D
