I did take a very unique 145lb boar with a didtict and fairly rare large white horseshoe figure on his chest. I thought he would go 200lb, but under the low light it was hard to tell.
This was one of the smaller ones taken at this camp. Out of 34 hunter, by the time I left camp, about 27 had tagged out. We had 2 bear that were 380lb and at least another 10 over 300lbs, and about anoother 12 over 200lbs. Great camp deep in the Maine wilderness 90 miles from the nearest anything like a house or store.
I used a 300gr nosler partition in the 45-70 guide gun and it flipped the bear side over side a few times he then ran about 5 feet and died. It was a boiler room hit from his left slightly quartering away with the exit out his right shoulder.
This one will make a great full or half body mount and I was able to get about 35lbs of deboned meat.
Great camp, great guides and unbelivable food. Things like whole live lobster, whole turkey, hams, roasts. All home made pies, breads, snals always there for the taking. You get the picture. I must have put on 5lbs.
As soon as my pics are develpoed I will get some on here.
