Hi,

Where would the best place to look for just a Encore action?  Also once I bought the action I could buy barrels to make it a CF, RF, Shotgun, Muzzleloader correct?  

It looks like this is the place to ask for any T/C info.

You have to have a special adapter to use an Encore as a rim fire. The contender has both options but the Encore was designed for center fire only. Virgin Valley sells the conversion kit for Encore rim fire.  KN

Bare actions can be bought a lot of places. Ask your local gun shop, they should be able to order you one. If not, Ed's contenders (edstc.com),  James Lewis (alewisenterprise.com), Fox ridge, and probably VVCG all have them if you call and ask specifically for a bare frame. James Lewis always has his bare frames on Auction Arms and Gunbroker for $199 blue, and $225 SS (there's a guy on AA called "GUNPA" that has them sometimes but I wouldn't recommend him after a bad experience prior to a sale).
