Pistol peep sights
« on: February 17, 2006, 03:39:37 AM »
Has anyone had any succes with a peep sight on 9-12" barrels?
I have one on my Ruger SRH and I love it. Williams says thier WGRS peep probably won't adjust low enough to work but thier target style fits very close to the bore and "may" work, these things cost $65.
Thompson has taller front sights and "may" help this system work.
A large "ghost ring" style apperture and a fiber optic front sight would be ideal.

Some of the top shooters in NRA Hunter Pistol & IHMSA Field Pistol are using peep sights.

I get excellent results with the Williams Foolproof on a 10" 22LR barrel. I am setting up another using a TC factory peep and the carbine insert. I need the extra heigth for my hooded Sillouhette front peep. I have the standard heigth rear peep insert that replaces the blade on the newest "competition click" style sights I could sell you. PM me if you are interested.
