I finally got to use my 357 Sig barrel in my G22. It's AWESOME! I went out today and shot some of
Mike's 125 gr. FMJ ammo. I couldn't believe how much milder it seemed then the 40 S&W. Recoil seemed to be about the same. The muzzle flip was nowhere near the 40 S&W. It almost seemed that when I fired a round, it was so quick to cycle the slide that as it was recoiling (coming back), the slide going forward (chambering the next round) brought it back on target. I really couldn't believe how quick I was back on target.
I've never had a problem shooting my 40's (G22, G27 or my Ruger KP94DC that I sold) one handed using my right hand (I'm right handed). I couldn't really shoot them to quick (to much muzzle flip for me), but I could shoot them accurately. I could never shoot them quickly or accurately using my left hand at all. I can shoot the 357 Sig with my right hand faster then I ever thought possible, and hit what I'm aiming at! I wasn't to bad with my left hand either!
I'm not knocking the 40 S&W at all. I know that terminally speaking a person or anything else for that matter would never be able to tell the difference if hit by either. I also know that there are a lot of people out there that choose a 9mm over other rounds because they shoot them better. I think this is going to be the case with me and the Sig round! Now I have to get a G33 barrel for my G27!
