What about the Hunter/target Taurus

Looked at them on CDNN and was wondering if a 12" barrel would be OK for hunting/target shooting or would it be in the way? Which would you get 357 7 shot or 44 mag?

I had two of them in .44 Magnum. Why two you ask? Glad you asked. Cuz the first one had a barrel so bad that half the bullets went thru the target side ways at 25 yards. Yeah they were key holing by the 25 yard mark.

Sent it back and got a replacement. Bullets at least went thru the target nose first but accuracy left a LOT to be desired. I traded it back to the shop where I bought the first one and gave up on Taurus guns. Right now the RB is the only one I feel comfortable recommending.

As to the barrel most will find it obnoxious. I got it because I like long barrels for the long sight radius. I used to carry a 10-5/8" S&W 29 for years and loved it. Mighty big and long but man did it shoot. Sure wish I hadn't let that one get away from me.

Thanks! I had already decided not to get it as I would have to sell one of my Saiga 308,s and I would be getting the short end of that deal. I have a very accurate 44 mag in the Virginia Dragoon I have so I will be satisfied with it.
Thanks

seems like you must have been unlucky with your 44 i git the 7shot 357 in ss from cdnn and shoot claybirds at 200yrds with it using plus power loads also it will group into a 6" circle at 100yrds off hand and i think most of the spread is me shaking   :-D
