Hey Guys  :D

I have decided to put my .223 ultra to use on some varmints.(Coyote ) I want to buy a electronic caller. I have been looking around, but I don't know to buy.  :?  I need some advise. Maybe a link to a good unit.

get this, it looks great..have not used one, but...it has some good lookin features.and is small and light..JS make some good E-callers.let me know how it works..

The Foxpro FX3 seems to be the hot MP3 caller as of late, but pretty expensive. There some good ones out there and most the major outdoor retailers carry them. Do some searches on electronic predator calls as i dont want any links i leave to be confused as business/product plugs by the admin here.

Stomp, it's all big business nowadays buddy, they all want your money.

Years ago all we had were hand calls and we killed as many as they do today, maybe more lol.  :roll: At the time most of us didn't have camo either.

The first e-callers were small 78s then 45s, great inovation at the time. Then we had 4 tracks and 8 tracks, then cassettes. Now we are totally high tech.

You have many e-callers to pick from, over a thousands dollers for a WT, about $500 for the new FoxPro right on down the line, you can even make your own.

The big trick is they all work, I personally use a non-remote FoxPro that holds 8 different sounds. I hunt with a FoxPro rep that has all the latest goodies, let me say I can see an advantagae to a remote if you have the extra money. :wink:

I use a 16 sound Fox-Pro with the remote.

I've used several callers over the years, and hands down in my opinion, the Fox-Pro just can't be beat. Like onecoyote, I used the 8 sound with no remote before I got my 16 sound, and even without a remote it was a way better caller than the Johnny Stewarts, Phantoms, or any other E-callers I've used.

Thanks for the responce. I looked at the Foxpro website and looked at the forum they have and found refurbished units they have with a same as new warranty    http://www.gofoxpro.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=561
about the same price of a new Johnny Stewart. Take a look and see what you think about them.

Mr. Dillon that founded, and still runs Fox-Pro is one of the most fair, honest, and plain out nice fellows you'll ever have the chance to meet. I've talked to him several times over the phone, and have had awsome service from him.

If he garantees the refurbished units then you can bet he means every word of it.

stomp I have to agree with Jerry 100% on the foxpro.

I been making a lot of noise over the years with many different callers in pursuit of game and the foxpro is second to none in MHO.

Since I started using foxpro callers I get quite a few invitations to hunt with other guys in some prime habitat since they have witnessed the ease of use and effectiveness of the foxpro compared to other callers on the market.

While I have needed no service on the units I have purchased from foxpro, Mr. Dillion has always been available for recommendations on the sound selection and operation of my units.

Something revolutionary would have to come along in the calling industry for me to change to another brand at this point.

I bought a set of the Knight & Hale tapes for our electronic caller
last week and they are without a doubt the most pathetic excuses for
predator calling and crow calling I have ever heard. not realistic in the least. Stay clear of them if you don't want to run everything off of your hunting land! I have found a use for one of them though, My nearest neighbor started playing his window rattling "BOOM - Ba - Boom" music a couple of nights ago so I replied with what was supposed to be the Dying Rodent tape. It sounds like someone that is just learning to play a fiddle.
Screeeeee - screeeeee - Scrrroooowwwww - scrooowwwwww......
It is Horrible and every dog for miles was driven mad by it too..
This neighbor stays up late so This saturday I am going to start "CALLING"
about daylight with my basement sterio system.  4 -14 inch woofers
2 - 12 inch woofers and 6 tweeters....sound should carry pretty good down the creek bed.

Thanks Guys for all of your input. Foxpro seems like the way to go. MY question is what do you think about buying a refurbished unit? From what I understand they come with a as new warranty and you can pick the sounds that you want. Go with a Foxpro. Very good quality and they have the best customer service and warrenty around. Contact Mike Dillion, eh will be happy to get you started.
I have the 416 with the remote. The new FX3 is their latest and is a very nice unit.

Hi go with a FOX PRO call i have had a 416B with remote . And it work great i sold it to get the Fx 3 caller i like it alot. They may be pricey but on a fox pro it worth every cent. VM :D
